Miguel Ibáñez

Miguel has extensive experience in film, television, and theater. In television, he has worked on the writing teams of projects such as «Cites» (TV3), nominated for the Feroz Award for Best Comedy Series, and «Boca Norte» (RTVE/Playz), winner of the Ondas Award for Best Digital Content. In film, he is the co-writer of acclaimed films such as «Las Distancias» (Golden Biznaga at the Málaga Film Festival, Gaudí Award, and Sant Jordi Award for Best Spanish Film of the Year), «Els encantats» (Silver Biznaga for Best Screenplay 2023), and «La mujer dormida» (2024). His most recent work is «Frontera», which premiered in 2025, directed by Judith Colell. In addition, he has collaborated as a playwright with the Comediants company at the Teatro María Guerrero in Madrid and the Teatre Lliure in Barcelona. Currently, in addition to new projects, Miguel is also exploring his role as a director in his short film «Iago and Tristan», selected in more than 100 national and international festivals and winner of more than 50 awards.
