Jota Linares
Jota Linares is a director and screenwriter, author of the films «Animales sin collar» (2018), «¿A quién te llevarías a una isla desierta?» (2019) —one of Netflix’s first original productions in Spain, based on a stage play written by Linares himself— and «Las niñas de cristal» (2022), also a Netflix original. All three were written and directed by him. With his two most recent features, he competed in the Official Selection of the Málaga Film Festival. In 2026, he will premiere his new series as director, «Los secretos de la cortesana», a Zeta Studios production for Netflix, and begin shooting his next feature film, «Hestia». In television, he has directed episodes of series such as «Élite» (Netflix), «Días mejores» (Prime Video), and «Urban. La vida es nuestra» (Prime Video).
