Araceli Álvarez de Sotomayor

Araceli Álvarez de Sotomayor is a screenwriter, director and playwright. In 2025, she premiered two series that she wrote and directed: «Sin gluten», for RTVE and Prime Video, and «Nails», a Skyshowtime original produced by Federation Spain. She also directed the pilot for the latest season of «La que se avecina» for Contubernio. Also in 2025, she premiered the second season of «Muertos S.L.» for Movistar Plus+, where she worked as a creator, and «Animal» by Alea Media for Netflix. She has worked on high-profile projects such as the series «La que se avecina», «Machos alfa», which she co-created, and «El Pueblo». In addition, she has written the plays «Deja a tu terapista», «Princesas de cartón», «Mi hermana es una asesina», «No somos nadie», and «Tacones enanos», which has been sold in several Latin American countries.
