Paloma Peñarrubia

Spanish composer for film, advertising, and performing arts, with an outstanding career that includes the creation of more than twenty original scores for feature films, short films, theater productions, and advertising campaigns. She has been nominated for the Goya Awards in the category of Best Original Song for «La arepera» of the film «¡Caigan las rosas blancas!». She has also been nominated at the ASECAN and Carmen Awards, and has received recognitions such as the Silver Biznaga at the Málaga Film Festival and the Best Original Music Award for «Secaderos» at the Vashon Film Festival. Her most notable works include «Bajo la piel de lobo», «Sangre», «Seis y medio», «9 lunas» and «La vida chipén». She is also the creator of the experimental music project BROMO, with which she has performed at festivals such as LEV, Volumens, and Eufònic. Alongside her artistic work, she teaches at the University of Málaga and co-founded FLAMA, a festival focused on sound and audiovisual innovation. Her next project is the soundtrack of the film «The end of it», which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
